Week One: Welcome to the Farm
Our first week invites little ones and their grown-ups to step into the magic of farm life through hands-on play, storytelling, and outdoor discovery.
This week’s featured sensory bin is a farm-themed exploration filled with dried corn, soft hay, toy animals, scoops, and mini tractors—perfect for curious hands and imaginative play. During circle time, we’ll read Big Red Barn and Mrs. Wishy-Washy’s Farm, bringing the farm to life through gentle stories little ones can connect with.
We’ll finish our morning with a peaceful feed-the-ducks observation walk, where children can move, listen, and connect with the animals and nature around them.
A simple, joyful beginning—full of sunshine, curiosity, and little farm memories in the making.

Week Two: Little Seeds Grow
Our second week of classes invites little ones and their grown-ups to discover the incredible journey that begins with a tiny seed. Through hands-on play, storytelling, and outdoor exploration, children will learn how seeds awaken, sprout, and grow into flowers, vegetables, and plants.
This week's featured sensory bin is filled with seeds, flowers, gardening tools, and natural treasures for little hands to investigate. During circle time, we'll read Up in the Garden, Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner and Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert, introducing children to the magic of plant life through beautiful illustrations and interactive storytelling.
We'll finish our morning by planting flowers in individual pots for each child to take home and nurture, giving families a chance to continue observing the growing process together. A week full of digging, planting, watering, and wondering as we discover how something so small can grow into something beautiful. 🌱🌼

Week Three: Bugs & Butterflies
Not all of the farm's busiest workers have feathers or fur. Some have six tiny legs, spin silky webs, or emerge from a chrysalis with brand-new wings. During Week 3, Bugs & Butterflies, we'll slow down and take a closer look at the fascinating creatures hiding in gardens, fields, and flower beds all around us.
This week's featured sensory bin is a bug explorer station filled with colorful insects, sorting activities, magnifying glasses, leaves, and natural treasures, encouraging children to investigate, compare, and discover the fascinating world of bugs.
During circle time, we'll read The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle and Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert, introducing little ones to spiders, butterflies, and the incredible transformations found in nature.
We'll finish our morning by creating a butterfly symmetry art project for children to take home, exploring colors, patterns, and the beauty of butterfly wings. A week full of tiny discoveries, colorful creatures, and a little bit of bug-eyed wonder. 🦋🐞🔍

Week Four: Garden Helpers
From tiny seeds to baskets of fresh vegetables, gardens teach us that good things take time, care, and a little bit of dirt under our fingernails. During Week 4 children will discover the important work that goes into growing the fruits and vegetables we enjoy every day while exploring the magic of gardens and orchards through play, storytelling, and hands-on learning.
This week's featured sensory expe1rience invites little gardeners to dig, scoop, plant, and explore in our garden planter, getting their hands dirty as they investigate soil, plants, and the growing world beneath their feet. Come prepared to get a little messy (or very messy!)
During circle time, we'll read The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss and Messy McFarlen's Tomato Garden by Barry Waldo, two stories that celebrate patience, perseverance, and the wonderful surprises that come from tending a garden.
We'll finish our morning with a playful apple-picking game that gets children moving while introducing them to the fruits that grow in orchards. A week full of digging, discovering, harvesting, and celebrating the helpers—both big and small—who help gardens grow. 🍎🥕🌱
